What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for the complete model development lifecycle, from data mining and processing to model training, evaluation, validation, and productionization. You will design and implement machine learning models that automate the creation of Waymo's high-definition maps, which are crucial for the safe operation of our autonomous vehicles. You will apply and advance state-of-the-art ML techniques, including generative AI approaches, to pioneer new solutions in mapping automation. Collaboration is key; you will work closely with partner ML teams, such as Waymo Perception, to ensure that the mapping data meets the needs of various applications. You will also engage in continuous learning and experimentation to refine your models and improve their performance.
What we offer
Waymo offers a competitive salary range of $204,000—$259,000 USD, along with eligibility for an annual bonus program and equity incentive plan.
