You are proficient in C++ and Python, and you understand the intricacies of system-level architecture and performance optimization. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to push the boundaries of technology. Your curiosity drives you to explore new solutions and improve existing systems, ensuring maximum performance and efficiency.
Desirable
Experience with CUDA or OpenGL is a plus, as is familiarity with autonomous systems or automotive technologies. You are comfortable navigating complex technical challenges and enjoy mentoring others in your field.
What you'll do
As a Software Engineer at Waymo, you will develop high-performance GPU primitives and abstractions that enable the scaling of Waymo's accelerator codebase across diverse GPU backends. You will collaborate with the Compute Team to design and optimize hardware and software solutions that meet the demands of fully autonomous vehicles. Your role will involve architecting system-level compute architectures that push the boundaries of performance, power, and latency. You will also engage in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of the team's processes and methodologies.
What we offer
Waymo provides a competitive salary range of $204,000—$259,000 USD, along with eligibility for an annual bonus program and equity incentive plan.
