Who you are
You have a strong background in strategy and operations, ideally with 5+ years of experience in a high-growth technology, mobility, or autonomous vehicle company. Your analytical skills are top-notch, allowing you to tackle ambiguous problems and build processes from the ground up. You possess excellent relationship-building and communication skills, which are essential for collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. A deep understanding of the Japanese business landscape, culture, and regulatory environment, especially in mobility or technology, is crucial for success in this role. You have direct experience with international market entry, product launches, or scaling a new business, which will be invaluable as you help execute Waymo's strategy in Japan.
Desirable
Experience working in both US and Japanese companies is a plus, as it will enhance your ability to navigate the complexities of the market. Familiarity with the autonomous driving industry and its challenges will also be beneficial.
What you'll do
As a foundational member of the Japan team, you will be responsible for building and executing Waymo's go-to-market strategy in Japan. This involves conducting deep-dive market analysis and competitive assessments to inform strategic decisions. You will lead cross-functional projects that bring the go-to-market strategy to life, ensuring alignment across various teams.
