You have a strong background in systems engineering, particularly in the context of safety and compliance for autonomous vehicles. Your experience includes working with cross-functional teams to develop and implement system architecture and verification strategies. You are passionate about ensuring the safety and performance of innovative technologies and thrive in collaborative environments.
You possess excellent analytical skills and can create safety analyses independently or in collaboration with system safety teams. Your ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including software engineers and product managers, is a key strength. You are committed to maintaining high performance standards and driving results in your projects.
What you'll do
In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement requirements for rider safety, security, and compliance features on existing and new vehicle platforms. You will create safety analyses and collaborate with system safety teams to drive performance improvements. Your responsibilities will include designing and performing tests to validate system performance and ensuring that all safety standards are met.
You will report to a Systems Engineer Lead and follow a hybrid work schedule, allowing you to balance in-office collaboration with remote work. Your contributions will play a crucial role in maintaining the high performance standards that Waymo is known for, ensuring that the Waymo Driver remains the world's most trusted autonomous driving technology.
What we offer
Waymo offers a competitive salary range of $196,000—$248,000 USD, along with eligibility for an annual bonus program and equity incentive plan. You will also have access to a generous benefits program, subject to eligibility requirements.
