Deep expertise in Java and Python — you've built robust APIs and backend services that handle millions of requests, ensuring performance and reliability. You understand system architecture and are comfortable making decisions that affect the scalability of applications.

Experience with data-driven decision-making — you know how to measure the performance of features and iterate based on results. Your analytical mindset helps you identify opportunities for improvement and optimize existing systems.

Familiarity with cloud services, particularly AWS — you have hands-on experience deploying applications in the cloud and understand the nuances of cloud architecture. You are adept at using various AWS services to enhance application performance and reliability.

Strong problem-solving skills — you enjoy tackling complex challenges and have a track record of debugging and resolving issues in production environments. You are proactive in identifying potential bottlenecks and implementing solutions before they impact users.

What you'll do

Join the Growth Team at WHOOP and play a key role in building backend services that drive user acquisition, activation, and retention. You'll collaborate with product managers and designers to define requirements and deliver features that enhance the user experience.

Design and implement scalable backend systems that support WHOOP's mission to unlock human performance. You'll be responsible for ensuring that the services you build are reliable, efficient, and capable of handling millions of users.

Participate in system architecture decisions, contributing your insights to help WHOOP scale effectively. You'll work closely with other engineers to ensure that the architecture supports both current and future needs of the business.

Measure the performance of features and iterate based on data-driven insights. You'll analyze user behavior and system performance to identify areas for improvement and implement changes that enhance user engagement.
