Who you are
5+ years of experience in DevOps or related roles — you've successfully managed large-scale infrastructure projects and understand the intricacies of cloud environments and container orchestration. Your expertise in Kubernetes and Kafka allows you to build robust systems that support rapid deployment cycles.
Strong collaboration skills — you thrive in cross-functional teams, working closely with iOS, Android, Backend, and Web engineers to ensure that infrastructure meets the needs of diverse applications. You communicate effectively, translating technical concepts into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
A proactive problem solver — you anticipate potential issues in the software delivery pipeline and implement solutions that enhance performance and stability. Your experience with CI/CD practices ensures that deployments are both safe and efficient.
What you'll do
As a Senior DevOps Engineer at WHOOP, you will lead initiatives to improve application infrastructure, focusing on scalability, resilience, and security. You will collaborate with various engineering teams to design and implement systems that facilitate rapid feature delivery while maintaining high standards of safety and performance.
You will be responsible for optimizing the software delivery pipeline, ensuring that deployments to Kubernetes are seamless and that the infrastructure can handle increasing loads. Your role will involve setting the direction for the AppInfra team, influencing best practices across WHOOP's technology stacks.
You will also build tooling and guardrails that empower teams to ship features at high velocity without compromising on security or reliability. Your contributions will directly impact the performance of WHOOP's applications, enhancing the experience for our members.
