Who you are
You have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related technical field, and you bring over 5 years of experience in engineering and manufacturing environments, particularly in 3D printing. Your expertise allows you to evaluate the manufacturability of customer designs effectively, ensuring that you can recommend the best solutions using Xometry's extensive portfolio of 3D printing technologies and materials. You are adept at interfacing with various stakeholders, including customers, internal staff, and management, to ensure successful project execution.
Your background includes working in diverse industries such as general machine building, commercial, automotive, industrial, and medical devices. You possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot production issues, which is critical for ensuring customer satisfaction. You thrive in collaborative environments and are comfortable taking on special projects that expand the capabilities of manufacturing partner networks.
What you'll do
As a DFM Engineer at Xometry, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategies that align with customer needs. Once an order is placed, you will assist production teams in troubleshooting order execution, ensuring that all customer requirements are met.
