What you'll do
As an IT Service Desk Intern at Xometry, you will provide first-level technical support to end-users through various channels, including Slack, Freshdesk, and in-person interactions. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting hardware issues related to laptops, desktops, and peripherals, as well as assisting with software installation and configuration. You will help resolve account lockouts, password resets, and access requests, ensuring that users have the necessary access to perform their jobs. Additionally, you will support basic network connectivity and VPN issues, contributing to the overall efficiency of the IT department.
You will play a vital role in the IT equipment lifecycle, assisting with the setup, deployment, and configuration of new devices. Your involvement in the new hire onboarding and employee offboarding processes will be crucial in maintaining a smooth transition for staff. You will also contribute to creating and maintaining technical documentation and knowledge base articles, which will serve as valuable resources for both current and future team members.
