You are a motivated individual eager to gain hands-on experience in IT support. You possess a foundational understanding of Windows and macOS, which allows you to assist users effectively. Familiarity with collaboration tools like Slack and productivity applications such as Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace is essential for your role. You have a basic understanding of networking concepts, which will help you troubleshoot connectivity issues. You are committed to maintaining a high level of customer service and professionalism while assisting end-users with their technical needs.

What you'll do

As an IT Service Desk Intern at Xometry, you will provide first-level technical support to end-users through various channels, including Slack, Freshdesk, and in-person interactions. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting hardware issues related to laptops, desktops, and peripherals, as well as assisting with software installation and configuration. You will also help with basic network connectivity and VPN support, ensuring that users can access the resources they need. Additionally, you will support the IT equipment lifecycle by assisting with setup, deployment, and configuration of new devices. Your role will involve contributing to the onboarding and offboarding processes for new hires and departing employees, ensuring a smooth transition for all staff. You will also play a part in creating and maintaining technical documentation and knowledge base articles, which are crucial for team efficiency. Collaborating with the IT Service Desk and IT Engineering teams on various projects will be a key aspect of your internship, allowing you to learn from experienced professionals in the field. You will escalate complex issues as needed, ensuring that all user concerns are addressed promptly and effectively.
