What you'll do

As a Senior Staff Engineer at Yugabyte, you will play a pivotal role in the development of YugabyteDB, focusing on its PostgreSQL compatibility and distributed architecture. You will collaborate with the Aeon team to build and enhance the Database-as-a-Service offerings, ensuring that they meet the needs of enterprises looking for scalable and resilient database solutions.

You will be responsible for designing and implementing features that improve the performance and reliability of YugabyteDB — your work will directly impact how enterprises migrate from legacy systems to modern cloud-native databases. You will also engage in code reviews and mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the team.

Your role will involve working closely with product managers and other stakeholders to define the roadmap for YugabyteDB — you will analyze user feedback and market trends to prioritize features that deliver maximum value.
