You have 8+ years of product design experience, including at least 3 years managing design teams that tackle complex, technical, or builder-oriented projects. Your background includes a strong understanding of user-centered design principles and a passion for creating intuitive and engaging user experiences. You excel in leading design discussions and fostering a collaborative environment where creativity thrives. Your experience with design tools like Figma allows you to effectively communicate your vision and guide your team in executing high-quality designs. You are strategic and visionary, capable of aligning design goals with business objectives while advocating for the userβs needs. You understand the importance of data-driven design and are comfortable using analytics to inform your decisions.
What you'll do
In this high-impact leadership role, you will manage a team of 3 designers, guiding them in their work on the core building experience of Zapier. You will partner closely with product and engineering leadership to shape how automations are built on the platform, ensuring that design is integrated into every step of the product development process. Your responsibilities will include setting the design vision for the Workflow Zone, mentoring your team, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional user experiences. You will also be involved in strategic planning, helping to define the roadmap for design initiatives that align with Zapier's mission to make automation work for everyone. As a leader, you will foster a culture of innovation and inclusivity, encouraging your team to explore new ideas and approaches to design.
