Zeeco is hiring a Controls Engineer to provide controls and instrumentation expertise for various product-related inquiries. You'll develop P&ID drawings and control panel BOMs while collaborating with project and sales engineers. This position requires a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and 2+ years of industry experience.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and at least 2 years of industry experience, which has equipped you with a solid foundation in controls and instrumentation. You are adept at reviewing project engineering and sales packages to determine the scope of equipment required for customer specifications. Your experience includes developing P&ID drawings in coordination with project, sales, and process engineers, ensuring that all specifications are met accurately.

You possess strong skills in creating control panel BOMs that encompass various components such as control enclosures, pilot lights, push-buttons, relays, and PLCs. Your familiarity with ISA data sheets for temperature, level, flow, and pressure transmitters, as well as control valves and positioners, allows you to excel in this role. You are detail-oriented and capable of developing comprehensive drawings for control panels, power distribution, and junction boxes, ensuring clarity and precision in your work.

Your ability to develop logic diagrams in ISA format demonstrates your technical proficiency and understanding of control systems. You are comfortable working in a collaborative environment, where you can leverage your expertise to assist the sales group and customers during commissioning of control systems. You are open to occasional travel, both domestically and internationally, to support project needs.

Desirable

Experience with specific control systems or industries will be considered a plus, as will familiarity with various instrumentation technologies. You are a proactive problem solver who enjoys working with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
