Who you are

You hold a B.S. in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical or Chemical fields, and have at least 2 years of industry experience, ideally in sales or technical applications. You possess a strong understanding of engineering principles and are adept at analyzing customer inquiries to design appropriate solutions. Your communication skills allow you to effectively manage customer relationships and negotiate proposals, ensuring clarity and satisfaction throughout the process.

You are proficient in using Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher, to create compelling presentations and formal quotations. Your attention to detail ensures that all technical specifications are met, and you are comfortable traveling to customer sites for support and proposal generation. You thrive in collaborative environments and are eager to work with management to enhance your skills and tools for improved performance.

What you'll do

In this role, you will analyze and interpret customer inquiries, focusing on the specifications needed to design and specify the appropriate equipment for fired heater applications. You will be responsible for developing cost estimates and setting product pricing according to established guidelines. Your duties will also include writing, editing, and issuing formal quotations to customers, as well as following up on correspondence during the quotation phase.

You will visit customer facilities to gather necessary details for technical reviews and proposal generation, ensuring that all aspects of the project are covered. Additionally, you will assist with the technical development and risk assessment of customer inquiries, providing status reports to management on overall proposal status and activities. Your role will involve creating and modifying sales presentations and documents, contributing to the overall success of the sales team.
