You have over 5 years of backend engineering experience, particularly in developing production systems that scale effectively. You take ownership of your work and have a track record of delivering high-quality code that meets business needs. Your expertise in Python and Django allows you to build efficient models and APIs, while your understanding of SQL and RESTful services ensures that you can create seamless interactions between the front-end and back-end systems.

You are comfortable working with various databases, particularly PostgreSQL, and have experience with caching systems like Redis to optimize application performance. Your familiarity with message brokers such as RabbitMQ enables you to design systems that handle asynchronous processing effectively. You are also open to exploring AI development tools, including Claude and Cursor, to enhance your coding practices and contribute to innovative solutions.

Collaboration is key for you; you thrive in environments where you can work closely with product teams and other engineers to drive projects forward. You value clear communication and are adept at articulating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Your ability to write defensive yet performant code reflects your commitment to quality and reliability in software development.

What you'll do

As a Senior Backend Engineer at Zerocater, you will design and architect robust, scalable, and secure back-end systems primarily using Python and Django. You will lead the development and delivery of complex, business-critical features, ensuring high performance and quality throughout the software lifecycle. Your role will involve writing clean, maintainable code and conducting code reviews to uphold the team's standards.

You will collaborate with product managers and front-end developers to define requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Your contributions will directly impact the user experience, as you will be responsible for building APIs that facilitate seamless interactions between the application and its users.
