What you'll do

As a Machine Learning Engineer Intern at Zoox, you will be part of the Simulation team, where you will contribute to the development of high fidelity synthetic data for training and testing autonomous vehicle AI. You may work on various projects, including extending the simulation pipeline to accurately reproduce dynamic actors or developing models that simulate the behavior of road agents like pedestrians and vehicles. Your role will involve researching and evaluating reconstruction algorithms and integrating them into the simulation framework.

You will collaborate closely with experienced engineers and researchers, gaining hands-on experience in creating realistic simulation scenarios from real-world driving data. Your contributions will help ensure the safety and performance of Zoox's autonomous driving technology. You will also have the opportunity to participate in team meetings, share your ideas, and receive mentorship from industry leaders.
