Who you are
You have a strong background in diagnostics engineering, with experience in evaluating and optimizing serviceability across complex systems. Your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Vehicle Engineering and Manufacturing, allows you to advocate effectively for serviceability improvements. You are comfortable engaging with field technicians to understand real-world challenges and translate that feedback into actionable strategies.
You possess excellent problem-solving skills and a keen understanding of diagnostic and controller programming functions. Your experience enables you to assess the effectiveness of these functions at various levels, ensuring they are intuitive for technicians. You are detail-oriented and committed to enhancing the maintenance and repair processes for vehicles.
What you'll do
In this role, you will drive Design for Serviceability (DFS) initiatives, ensuring that all products are designed with maintenance and serviceability in mind. You will evaluate diagnostic functions at the component, system, and vehicle levels, working closely with engineering teams to implement improvements. Regular engagement with field technicians will be a key part of your responsibilities, as you assess service challenges and develop strategies to address them.
You will collaborate with various departments, including Industrial Design and Prototyping, to advocate for serviceability and maintenance optimization. Your insights will help shape diagnostic strategies and tools that support efficient vehicle maintenance and repair. You will also be responsible for translating technician feedback into improved workflows, ensuring that service readiness is prioritized in product development.
