Who you are
You have a strong background in strategic sourcing and procurement, with at least 5 years of experience in managing supplier relationships and negotiating contracts. Your expertise in sourcing strategies is complemented by your ability to identify and vet suppliers effectively, ensuring that you can support the scaling goals of a fleet of robotaxis. You are detail-oriented and possess excellent negotiation skills, allowing you to secure favorable terms and conditions for your organization.
You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously. Your strong analytical skills enable you to assess supplier performance and make data-driven decisions that align with the company's objectives. You are a collaborative team player who enjoys working with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
What you'll do
In this role, you will develop and execute sourcing strategies for the equipment and services needed to support Zoox’s fleet of robotaxis. This includes identifying and vetting suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing vendor relationships for components like EV chargers and maintenance services. You will play a critical role in ensuring that the company can build out a cost-effective, reliable, and scalable charging infrastructure.
You will collaborate closely with engineering and operations teams to understand their needs and translate them into actionable sourcing strategies. Your ability to analyze market trends and supplier capabilities will be essential in making informed decisions that drive the success of the charging infrastructure project. You will also be responsible for monitoring supplier performance and implementing improvement plans as necessary.
