Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in site reliability engineering, with experience in maintaining high availability and performance of critical systems. You understand the full lifecycle of services, from design to deployment, and have a knack for building fault-tolerant systems that can handle large volumes of data. Your hands-on experience with automation tools and cloud infrastructure allows you to drive efficiency and reliability in operations.
You are proficient in Linux and have experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes. You thrive in environments where you can leverage your technical skills to improve system performance and resilience. Your problem-solving abilities enable you to tackle complex issues and implement effective solutions.
What you'll do
In this role, you will own the full lifecycle of services that power Zoox's autonomous vehicles. You will design and implement fault-tolerant systems, ensuring they are maintainable and scalable. Your responsibilities will include deploying and operating these systems in production, continuously monitoring their performance, and making improvements as necessary. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation at every layer of the infrastructure, enhancing the overall efficiency of operations.
You will also be involved in processing massive volumes of data and supporting compute-intensive pipelines that run on both CPUs and GPUs. Your work will directly contribute to the reliability and performance of the services that are critical to the development and operation of autonomous vehicles.
