What you'll do

As a System Safety Intern at Zoox, you will be involved in various aspects of safety analysis for our autonomous vehicles. You may work with the Systems Safety for Operations and Service (SSOS) team, where you will support safety analysis of live service events and off-vehicle software components. Your role will include conducting safety evaluations using methods such as System Theoretic Process Analysis (STPA) and assisting in the development of requirements for safety-critical systems.

Alternatively, you might join the Platform Safety Engineering and Analysis (PSEA) team, where your focus will be on evaluating the vehicle's interfaces and responses to faults. You will conduct data analysis, review and develop requirements, and help build dashboards that track safety metrics. Your contributions will directly impact the safe deployment of our autonomous vehicles, ensuring that they meet the highest safety standards.
