Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in building scalable applications and APIs. Your expertise in Java and Spring allows you to create robust backend systems that support complex business models. You are familiar with microservices architecture and have a strong understanding of RESTful API design principles. Your experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, enables you to deploy and manage applications effectively in a cloud environment.

You are comfortable working with modern data processing frameworks like Kafka and Spark, which helps you handle large volumes of data efficiently. Your knowledge of container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes and infrastructure as code tools like Terraform allows you to streamline deployment processes and improve system reliability. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

What you'll do

In this role, you will design and develop highly flexible common components and APIs that enable Zuora's products to function seamlessly. You will collaborate with product managers and other engineers to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Your responsibilities will include writing clean, maintainable code and conducting code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices.

You will also be involved in troubleshooting and resolving issues in production environments, ensuring that the systems remain operational and performant. As part of the team, you will contribute to architectural discussions and help shape the technical direction of the projects you work on. You will have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and helping them grow in their careers.
