Block is hiring a Territory Account Executive to drive sales and build partnerships in Washington DC. You'll engage local businesses and close deals while representing Square's mission of economic empowerment. This role requires a strong execution focus and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Job Description

Who you are

You are an exceptional Territory Account Executive with a proven track record of exceeding sales expectations. You thrive in dynamic environments and take full ownership of your territory, bringing Square's mission of economic empowerment directly to the businesses that need it most. You have a strong ability to operate strategically and decisively, which will determine your success in this role.

You enjoy engaging with local businesses and conducting live demos, spending approximately 80% of your week in the field. Your experience in building pipeline from the ground up and establishing high-value partnerships sets you apart. You are motivated by impactful work and driven to outperform, eager to join a high-performance team with high standards.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead your market with disciplined, in-person execution, engaging in 50–60 targeted business visits each week. You will run a full-cycle, self-sourced sales motion, generating leads, identifying needs, delivering compelling demos, and closing deals across Square's full product suite. Your efforts will elevate Square's visibility in the community and help local businesses grow through our ecosystem of industry-leading software and hardware.

You will be responsible for building a strong pipeline and establishing Square as a competitive advantage in one of our highest-opportunity markets. Your ability to engage with local businesses and drive sales will be crucial to your success. You will work closely with a high-performance team, collaborating to achieve shared goals and contribute to Square's mission of economic empowerment.
