Who you are

You have 5+ years of backend engineering experience building scalable data processing systems — you've designed and implemented services that handle large volumes of data and understand the complexities of data validation and normalization. Your expertise in Java and REST APIs allows you to create high-performance services that meet the needs of various engineering teams.

You are familiar with data concepts such as company firmographics and contact information — you understand how to work with and manipulate business data to ensure its quality and consistency across platforms. Your experience with Docker and PostgreSQL enables you to build and deploy applications efficiently, ensuring that they are robust and reliable.

You thrive in collaborative environments where you can challenge and be challenged by your teammates — you believe that the best solutions come from diverse perspectives and open discussions. Your strong problem-solving skills help you navigate complex technical challenges and find effective solutions.

Desirable

Experience with data processing frameworks and tools is a plus — you are open to learning new technologies that can enhance the capabilities of the Data Platform. Familiarity with cloud services and data pipelines will also be beneficial in this role.

What you'll do

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Data Platform team, you will design and build the foundational services that enable engineering teams to unify, validate, normalize, and enrich business data at scale. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and develop reusable infrastructure that ensures data quality.

You will implement high-quality services that perform common operations on business data, such as validating email addresses and standardizing company names. Your role will involve creating embeddable libraries, REST APIs, and pipeline components that facilitate data workflows and enhance the overall efficiency of data processing.

You will also be responsible for monitoring the performance of the services you build, ensuring they meet the required standards for reliability and speed. Collaborating with other engineers, you will participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of the team's development practices.
