Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in security engineering with a focus on Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) — you've designed and implemented security frameworks that ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Your experience includes developing automation solutions that streamline GRC processes, allowing organizations to manage risks effectively and efficiently.

You possess excellent analytical skills and a keen understanding of security protocols — you can assess vulnerabilities and implement robust security measures that protect sensitive data. Your ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders sets you apart, ensuring that everyone understands the importance of security in the digital landscape.

You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working with cross-functional teams — your experience in integrating security practices into development processes has equipped you with the skills to foster a culture of security awareness within the organization. You are proactive in identifying potential security threats and are always looking for innovative solutions to mitigate risks.

Desirable

Experience with cloud security and automation tools is a plus — familiarity with platforms like AWS or Azure can enhance your contributions to the team. Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001 or NIST is also beneficial, as it will help you navigate the regulatory landscape effectively.

You will collaborate with engineering teams to integrate security measures into the development lifecycle, promoting a security-first mindset across the organization.

You will develop dashboards and reporting tools that provide visibility into compliance status and risk management efforts — your analytical skills will be crucial in interpreting data and making informed decisions that drive security improvements. Additionally, you will conduct regular assessments of security controls and recommend enhancements based on emerging threats and vulnerabilities.

Your role will also involve mentoring junior security engineers and providing guidance on best practices in security engineering — you will help cultivate a team that is knowledgeable and skilled in addressing security challenges. You will stay updated on the latest security trends and technologies, ensuring that 1Password remains at the forefront of cybersecurity.
