You have over 2 years of relevant experience in deep learning and voice technology, with a solid understanding of speech signal processing. You possess a strong foundation in machine learning and artificial intelligence, particularly in the areas of speech-to-text (STT) and wake word detection (WWD). Your programming skills in languages such as C++, Python, and shell scripting enable you to tackle complex problems and propose innovative solutions.

You are familiar with on-device application development for edge devices, particularly in Linux and Android environments. Your experience with open-source deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Keras allows you to implement state-of-the-art models efficiently. You have a keen interest in optimizing hardware-efficient models and are comfortable working with version control systems like Git.

Desirable

You have experience in developing STT technologies that have been commercialized, and you are knowledgeable about self-supervised learning (SSL) and attention-based encoder-decoder (AED) models. Your research experience in multilingual STT and language models for speech recognition is a significant asset. You may also have authored papers in top-tier journals or conferences in the fields of speech recognition, machine learning, or artificial intelligence.

What you'll do

As a Deep Learning Engineer at 42dot, you will design and implement speech recognition models and build robust voice databases to enhance user interaction with vehicles. You will collaborate with the audio team to develop voice technologies that facilitate seamless communication between users and their vehicles. Your responsibilities will include designing STT and WWD models, optimizing them for performance, and developing applications for both server and on-device environments.

You will engage in the entire model lifecycle, from conception through deployment, ensuring that the solutions you create are efficient and effective. You will also be involved in conducting experiments to validate model performance and iterating on designs based on user feedback and performance metrics. Your role will require you to stay updated with the latest advancements in machine learning and voice technology, applying this knowledge to improve existing systems and develop new features.
