Android Application Engineer • Mid-Level

Who you are

You have over 3 years of experience in Android app development, including experience gained during your graduate studies. You possess a strong understanding of the Android platform and have hands-on experience developing applications using Java and Kotlin. Your technical skills extend to working with one or more programming languages such as C++ and you are comfortable with asynchronous processing and resource optimization in your designs.

You are familiar with the latest trends in Android development and have a keen interest in automotive infotainment systems. Your experience includes developing applications that integrate with speech recognition and synthesis technologies, as well as large language models. You have a solid understanding of system services that operate at the Android platform level and can design and maintain SDKs that provide consistent interfaces for various AI models.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for developing the Android SDK that integrates Speech-to-Text (STT), Text-to-Speech (TTS), and Large Language Model (LLM) capabilities into automotive applications. You will design and maintain the SDK to abstract various AI models and provide a consistent interface for developers. Your work will involve optimizing performance and responsiveness through asynchronous processing and resource management.

You will collaborate with teams to develop interfaces for voice recognition apps and navigation applications, ensuring seamless integration with the 42dot voice recognition platform. You will also be involved in the development of system services that operate within the Android environment, contributing to the overall functionality and user experience of automotive infotainment systems.
