You understand the characteristics and limitations of sensor and AI model outputs, allowing you to design effective fusion strategies. Your insights enable you to view object state estimation problems from a holistic system perspective rather than just a single filter approach. You possess the capability to design and implement algorithm ideas into real-time C++ code, ensuring high performance and reliability.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing object-level fusion and tracking logic that utilizes cognitive results from various sensors, such as single/multiple cameras and camera-radar systems. You will develop fusion logic that integrates diverse cognitive outputs, including 2D/3D results and multi-camera data. Your work will involve managing object associations, tracking, and lifecycle management to ensure consistent state estimation of object positions, speeds, classifications, and existence. You will also design fusion strategies that account for uncertainty and confidence based on sensor and AI model characteristics, resolving discrepancies between different representations and observations. Performance optimization will be a key focus, as you implement real-time fusion and tracking algorithms in C++, considering latency, CPU usage, and memory footprint. You will define metrics for evaluating object fusion and tracking performance, conduct large-scale log-based performance analysis, and establish automated performance evaluation and regression testing environments.
