Who you are

You have a solid foundation in Computer Science, with a deep understanding of operating systems, networks, and distributed systems. With over 8 years of experience in infrastructure and service operations, you've successfully managed large-scale Kubernetes clusters and have a knack for troubleshooting complex issues. Your practical experience with AWS cloud platforms equips you to handle various cloud-based challenges effectively.

You are proficient in at least one programming language, such as Go or Python, and have a strong capability in developing automation and internal tools. Your proactive attitude towards code reviews and documentation ensures that knowledge sharing is a priority within your team. You are also familiar with open-source monitoring tools and observability stacks, which enhances your ability to maintain system reliability.

What you'll do

In this role, you will design and operate cloud-based platform infrastructure to support global service operations. You will build and optimize Kubernetes-based infrastructure and deployment pipelines, focusing on enhancing system reliability through monitoring and automation tools. Your responsibilities will include introducing and improving technologies to ensure service scalability and stability, as well as responding to incidents and improving infrastructure for developer productivity.

You will lead efforts in root cause analysis and structural improvements, ensuring that issues are resolved comprehensively rather than just temporarily. You will also have the opportunity to work with various cloud environments, including Azure and GCP, and contribute to building CI/CD pipelines based on GitOps principles. Your role will be pivotal in shaping the infrastructure landscape at 42dot, driving both innovation and operational excellence.
