You have 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, with a strong focus on designing and running scalable systems. Your expertise in AWS and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes allows you to build robust cloud solutions that meet high availability and performance standards. You are proficient in Linux and have a solid understanding of system reliability and security principles. Your communication skills enable you to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, ensuring that the infrastructure aligns with the needs of Apple's diverse services.
You are curious about how systems work and how they can fail, which drives you to continuously improve the reliability and resilience of the infrastructure you manage. You have experience with Spring and Kafka, which are essential for building and maintaining the core components of Apple's cloud platform. What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing infrastructure solutions that support Apple's services, including iCloud, iTunes, Siri, and Maps. You will work closely with software developers to ensure that the infrastructure can scale to meet the demands of millions of users. Your focus will be on enhancing the reliability, scalability, and performance of the systems you manage, while also ensuring that security best practices are followed.
You will lead initiatives to build and enhance massive clusters hosting Virtual Machines and Containers, customizing the cloud platform to fit Apple's unique requirements. Your work will involve troubleshooting complex issues and implementing solutions that improve system performance and user experience. You will also participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices for cloud infrastructure management.
