You have over 5 years of experience in developing embedded systems and applications, particularly in Android and Linux environments. Your expertise includes working with Android Automotive and developing solutions for in-vehicle infotainment systems. You are proficient in programming languages such as C, C++, and Java/Kotlin, which are essential for the role. You possess a strong understanding of communication protocols and have experience designing and developing middleware and applications that connect mobile devices with various accessories.

Your educational background includes a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferably in a technical field. You have a solid grasp of Android Auto and CarPlay development, and you understand the intricacies of the Android Application Framework. Your familiarity with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi stacks, as well as network application development, sets you apart as a candidate. You are detail-oriented and have a passion for creating seamless user experiences in automotive technology.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for developing Android Automotive-based phone projection solutions, including Android Auto and CarPlay. You will design and implement casting and mirroring solutions that enhance connectivity between mobile devices and in-vehicle systems. Your work will involve creating middleware and applications that ensure seamless communication between various devices and accessories.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver high-quality solutions that meet user needs. Your responsibilities will include designing communication protocols and ensuring that all components work together harmoniously. You will also participate in code reviews and contribute to the overall improvement of the development process.

As a Senior IVI OS Engineer, you will mentor junior engineers and help them grow in their roles. You will be involved in the entire development lifecycle, from initial design through to deployment and testing. Your contributions will directly impact the user experience in automotive environments, making your role crucial to the success of the projects you work on.
