Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Control Engineering and over 5 years of practical experience in hardware development for automotive systems. Your expertise includes a minimum of 3 years working with ISO 26262 standards, specifically in hardware safety requirements and safety analysis methods such as FMEA, FTA, and FMEDA. You are familiar with the functional safety processes and can effectively communicate technical details during meetings with development teams.

You possess a strong understanding of the risks associated with autonomous driving systems and can identify potential failure scenarios. Your experience includes supporting product development to ensure compliance with safety standards, and you are comfortable guiding teams through the functional safety development process. You are detail-oriented and have a proactive approach to problem-solving, ensuring that safety is prioritized in all aspects of product development.

What you'll do

In this role, you will plan and execute functional safety activities for vehicles and autonomous driving systems. You will conduct safety analyses to derive hardware safety requirements based on identified risks and failure scenarios. Collaborating with development and verification teams, you will facilitate technical meetings to ensure that safety processes are adhered to throughout the product lifecycle. You will also be responsible for developing manuals and guidelines related to functional safety in autonomous driving, ensuring that all safety standards are met.

Your role will involve continuous evaluation of safety requirements and designs, providing support and guidance to the development team to ensure that safety is integrated into the design process. You will play a critical role in the development of safe autonomous vehicles, contributing to the overall safety and reliability of the technology. You will also engage in audits and assessments to verify compliance with safety standards, ensuring that the products developed meet the highest safety criteria.
