Who you are
You hold a master's degree in electronics or a related field and have over 8 years of experience in embedded hardware systems. Your expertise includes designing complex hardware that meets efficiency, cost, reliability, and safety goals, particularly in the automotive sector. You have a strong understanding of automotive control systems, including ECU development, and are familiar with various high-speed interfaces such as PCIe and Ethernet. Your experience with compliance testing and automotive reliability standards sets you apart, and you are proficient in using tools like ORCAD and ALLEGRO for circuit design.
You have a solid background in working with sensors such as radar, GPS, IMU, and USS, and you understand how to integrate these with high-performance processors for autonomous driving applications. Your ability to conduct real-world validation and improvements on hardware systems is crucial, and you are comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet project requirements. You are detail-oriented and have a strong commitment to safety in hardware development, ensuring that all designs comply with industry standards.
Desirable
Experience with IVI, ADAS, and BDC automotive control systems is preferred, as well as familiarity with SIPI design and interpretation. You have hands-on experience with GNSS, LTE, and Wi-Fi/Bluetooth applications, and you understand the physical layer of these technologies. Your ability to conduct real-world testing and validation of hardware systems is a significant asset, and you are eager to contribute to innovative projects in the autonomous driving space.
What you'll do
As a Senior Hardware Engineer at 42dot, you will be responsible for designing and developing controllers and sensors that are integral to our autonomous driving technology. You will work closely with various sensors and high-performance processors to create computing devices that ensure safe and efficient autonomous driving. Your role will involve circuit design for SOC/AP applications, including power applications such as DCDC and LDO, as well as interface applications like CAN, LIN, and Auto Ethernet.
You will lead the design and implementation of hardware systems, ensuring they meet automotive reliability and electromagnetic compatibility standards. Your responsibilities will include conducting compliance tests and improvements, as well as bringing up hardware systems for real-world validation. You will support the development and production of prototypes, responding to requirements and ensuring that all designs align with project goals.
Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware solutions into our autonomous driving systems. You will also mentor junior engineers, sharing your expertise and guiding them through complex design challenges. Your contributions will directly impact the performance and safety of our autonomous driving technology, making this a critical role within our organization.
