Job Description
Who you are
You hold a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field and have over 8 years of experience in embedded hardware systems. Your background includes significant experience in automotive applications, particularly in designing and validating hardware for vehicle control systems. You are proficient in using tools like ORCAD and ALLEGRO for circuit design and verification, and you have a solid understanding of automotive reliability and electromagnetic testing. Your experience extends to high-speed interfaces such as PCIe and Ethernet, and you are familiar with various communication protocols including CAN and LIN.
You have a strong grasp of power applications, including DCDC and LDO, and are skilled in designing thermal dissipation solutions and high-side gate drivers. Your ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including software engineers and product managers, allows you to effectively bring hardware solutions from concept to production. You are detail-oriented and committed to meeting efficiency, cost, reliability, and safety goals in your designs.
Desirable
Experience in developing automotive control ECUs for IVI, ADAS, or similar systems is a plus. Familiarity with GNSS, LTE, and WiFi/BT applications, as well as hands-on experience with real-world validation, will set you apart. You are also comfortable using embedded Linux and have a passion for safety-critical hardware development.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing hardware for high-performance computing units aimed at autonomous driving and software-defined vehicles. You will lead the design of vehicle body and power control units, ensuring that all hardware meets stringent automotive standards. Your responsibilities will include conducting reliability and electromagnetic tests, as well as improving existing designs based on test results. You will also support the development and production of prototypes, responding to requirements and ensuring that all hardware is validated in real-world scenarios.
You will collaborate closely with software teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software components, and you will participate in system bring-up activities to validate hardware functionality. Your role will involve continuous improvement of designs based on feedback from testing and validation processes, ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of quality and performance. You will also mentor junior engineers and contribute to the overall growth of the engineering team.
