Job Description

Who you are

You have a Master's or PhD degree in computer vision, robotics, or a related field, or equivalent experience. With a minimum of 3 years of work experience, you possess theoretical and practical knowledge in robotics and computer vision. Your production-level programming skills in modern C++ enable you to develop complex algorithms effectively. You are familiar with various sensors such as GPS, IMUs, and cameras, and have experience in research and development related to autonomous driving and robotics.

You have a strong understanding of 3D geometry aspects, including VSLAM, VIO, and SfM. Your expertise in developing algorithms for motion estimation, matching, and tracking in 3D environments sets you apart. You are also skilled in implementing non-linear optimization techniques to enhance algorithm performance. Your collaborative spirit allows you to work effectively with various teams at 42dot that employ computer vision and robotics technologies.

Desirable

Experience in developing VR/AR applications and parallel programming is a plus. You have a keen interest in sensor calibration to ensure accurate perception capabilities for autonomous vehicles. Your ability to work in a team-oriented environment and communicate complex ideas clearly is essential for success in this role.

What you'll do

As a SLAM Engineer at 42dot, you will be responsible for developing advanced localization, mapping, and calibration algorithms that enhance autonomous driving technology. You will design and validate both online and offline state estimation algorithms by fusing sensor data from various sources. Your focus will be on 3D geometry aspects, where you will apply your knowledge of VSLAM, VIO, and SfM to create robust solutions.

You will lead efforts in sensor calibration, ensuring that the perception capabilities of autonomous vehicles are accurate and reliable. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will contribute to the integration of computer vision and robotics technologies into the company's products.
