What you'll do
In this role, you will apply your SLAM expertise to automate and streamline the 3D map building process, which is crucial for Waymo’s rapid expansion. You will help develop a long-term strategy for the evolution of Waymo’s 3D map, ensuring it remains a key component of our mapping capabilities. Your contributions will span across Waymo’s Mapping stack, where you will work on algorithm advancements, infrastructure development, and tooling improvements. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure that the map data is effectively utilized and integrated into our autonomous driving systems. Your work will directly impact the safety and efficiency of our autonomous vehicles, making a difference in the lives of riders. You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers and share your knowledge with the team, fostering a culture of learning and innovation.
What we offer
Waymo provides a competitive salary range of $238,000—$302,000 USD, along with eligibility for an annual bonus program and equity incentive plan.
