You are a mission-driven corporate commercial lawyer with at least 2 years of experience in transactional law and managing legal projects across various stakeholders. You possess fluency in English and have a strong commitment to tackling poverty or social causes. Your skills include being creative, kind, pragmatic, and respectful, allowing you to excel in a fast-paced environment. You are self-reflective and aligned with Acumen's values, and you have experience with non-profit and/or investment regulations and compliance.

What you'll do

As a Program Legal Associate at Acumen, you will provide legal support to the West Africa team, particularly in connection with a new five-year program aimed at impacting approximately 400 early-stage social enterprises in the African green economy. You will manage legal projects and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with legal standards and regulations. Your role will involve drafting and reviewing legal documents, advising on corporate governance, and supporting the team in navigating complex legal landscapes.
