You are a mission-driven corporate lawyer with at least 5 years of experience in law and managing legal projects across various stakeholders. You possess a strong understanding of legal compliance and contract support, particularly in the context of social enterprises and sustainable development. What you'll do

In this role, you will lead legal compliance and contract support for a five-year program aimed at impacting approximately 400 early-stage social enterprises in the African green economy. You will collaborate with internal teams to provide legal support across all program activities, including contract review and compliance maintenance. Your responsibilities will involve advising teams on legal matters, ensuring adherence to regulations, and facilitating smooth operations within the program.

You will work closely with various stakeholders to manage legal projects, ensuring that all activities align with Acumen's mission and values. Your role will require you to be proactive in identifying potential legal issues and providing solutions that support the program's objectives. You will also be involved in drafting and negotiating contracts, ensuring that they meet legal standards and protect the interests of Acumen and its partners.

Acumen offers a competitive salary range of C$120,000 to C$163,000, along with a performance-based bonus.
