Overview

Affirm is seeking a Staff Product Manager for their Capital team to lead the Capital Risk and Deal Reporting product area. You'll focus on reducing operational risk and ensuring accurate reporting. This role requires strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of financial systems.

Job Description

Who you are

You have extensive experience in product management, particularly in financial services or risk management — you've successfully led product initiatives that require a high level of precision and analytical thinking. Your background includes working with complex data systems and understanding the intricacies of capital markets, which allows you to navigate the challenges of building scalable and reliable systems.

You are comfortable being deeply embedded in data and financial logic — your analytical mindset enables you to make data-driven decisions that enhance product performance and investor trust. You possess a strong bias toward precision and correctness, ensuring that every product decision aligns with the company's goals and investor expectations.

You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, finance, and risk management — your ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders ensures that everyone is aligned on product vision and execution. You are also adept at managing competing priorities and can balance short-term needs with long-term strategic goals.

Desirable

Experience in capital markets or financial technology is a plus — familiarity with investor reporting and risk assessment will help you excel in this role. A background in data analysis tools or financial modeling can further enhance your contributions to the team.

What you'll do

As the Staff Product Manager for Capital, you will own the vision for Capital Risk and Deal Reporting — your role involves defining the long-term direction and strategy for these critical systems. You will work to reduce operational risk and improve forecasting accuracy, ensuring that the systems you build are robust and scalable as Affirm continues to grow.

You will collaborate with engineering teams to develop and implement product features that enhance the functionality and reliability of the Capital systems — your focus will be on creating durable systems that can handle the complexities of Affirm's capital program. You will also be responsible for ensuring that investor-grade reporting is accurate and timely, which is essential for maintaining investor trust.

Your role will require you to analyze data and metrics to inform product decisions — you will leverage your analytical skills to identify areas for improvement and drive initiatives that enhance product performance. You will also engage with stakeholders to gather feedback and iterate on product features, ensuring that the final outcomes meet the needs of both the business and its investors.

What we offer

At Affirm, you will be part of a mission-driven company that is reinventing credit to make it more honest and accessible — you will have the opportunity to work on impactful projects that directly influence the company's growth and success. We offer a collaborative work environment where your contributions are valued, and you can make a real difference.

We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement — we believe that diverse perspectives lead to better products and outcomes. Join us in shaping the future of credit and financial services.
