Overview
Affirm is hiring a Staff Product Manager for their Capital team to lead the Capital Risk and Deal Reporting product area. You'll focus on building systems that enhance operational risk management and investor reporting. This role requires strong analytical skills and experience in financial logic.
Job Description
Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in product management, particularly in financial services or risk management — you understand the intricacies of capital markets and have a strong analytical mindset that allows you to navigate complex data sets with ease. Your background includes a deep familiarity with SQL and data-driven decision-making, enabling you to derive insights that inform product strategy and execution.
You possess a strong bias toward precision and correctness — your attention to detail ensures that the systems you build are not only functional but also scalable and reliable. You thrive in environments where you can collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, finance, and risk, to deliver high-impact solutions that drive business success.
You are comfortable being deeply embedded in data and financial logic — this role requires you to engage with complex forecasting models and reporting systems, ensuring that investor trust is maintained through accurate and auditable processes. Your ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders makes you a valuable asset in any discussion.
Desirable
Experience with capital markets or treasury operations is a plus — you understand the dynamics of funding structures and how they impact product development. Familiarity with risk management frameworks will further enhance your ability to contribute to the Capital Product team.
What you'll do
As the Staff Product Manager for Capital, you will own the vision for the Capital Risk and Reporting product area — this includes defining the long-term direction and strategy for systems that support Affirm's $26+ billion Capital Program. You will work closely with stakeholders to identify key requirements and translate them into actionable product roadmaps.
You will lead initiatives aimed at reducing operational risk and improving forecasting accuracy — this involves collaborating with engineering teams to build durable systems that can scale with Affirm's growth. Your role will also include ensuring that investor-grade reporting is achieved through the development of robust reporting tools and workflows.
You will be responsible for conducting user research and gathering feedback to continuously improve the product — your insights will help shape the features and functionalities that matter most to our users. You will also define and track success metrics to measure the impact of your initiatives on the overall business.
What we offer
At Affirm, you will be part of a mission-driven company that is reinventing credit to make it more honest and friendly. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, along with opportunities for professional growth and development. You will work in a collaborative environment where your contributions are valued and recognized.
Join us in building systems that empower consumers and enhance their financial flexibility — your work will directly impact how we deploy capital efficiently and responsibly. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we value diverse perspectives and backgrounds.
