You are comfortable working with databases like PostgreSQL and have experience with data processing technologies such as BigQuery. You thrive in collaborative settings, working closely with product owners and finance teams to drive efficiencies and reduce risks in financial operations.

You possess a solid understanding of software architecture principles and are skilled in designing systems that are both robust and maintainable. Your experience with containerization tools like Docker enables you to streamline development and deployment processes. You are proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement and are always looking for ways to optimize existing systems. You enjoy mentoring junior engineers and sharing your knowledge to foster a culture of continuous learning within your team.

Desirable

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for architecting and developing backend systems that support Agoda's FinTech initiatives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions that optimize customer payment options and improve financial operations. Your work will involve processing large volumes of data and ensuring that systems are capable of handling high transaction loads with minimal latency.

You will take ownership of the entire development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and monitoring. This includes writing clean, maintainable code and conducting thorough testing to ensure the reliability of your systems. You will also participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to your peers and helping to maintain high coding standards across the team.

As part of the FinTech team, you will engage in discussions about system architecture and design, contributing your insights to shape the direction of projects. You will work closely with product owners to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Your ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders will be crucial in driving projects forward.
