Who you are
You have a strong background in indirect tax management, particularly in the fintech and payments sectors. Your experience includes managing VAT, sales tax, and other indirect taxes, ensuring compliance with global tax regulations. You are adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Product and Legal, to address tax-related matters effectively. You possess excellent analytical skills and a keen understanding of the complexities involved in indirect tax compliance. Your ability to communicate complex tax concepts clearly to non-tax professionals sets you apart. You are proactive in identifying tax risks and opportunities, ensuring that the organization remains compliant while optimizing tax positions.
What you'll do
As the Indirect Tax Manager at Agoda, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of indirect tax related to our payments and fintech products. This includes overseeing VAT, sales tax, GST, and other relevant taxes on a global scale. You will work closely with the Indirect Tax lead and the broader Tax and Finance team to ensure compliance with tax regulations. Your role will involve advising on tax implications of new products and services, conducting tax audits, and preparing necessary documentation. You will also be tasked with developing and implementing tax strategies that align with Agoda's business objectives while minimizing tax liabilities. Collaboration with various departments will be key to your success, as you will need to ensure that tax considerations are integrated into product development and legal agreements.
