Who you are
You have a strong background in analytics with a focus on product and business insights — your experience allows you to be a data thought partner to product and business leaders, enabling data-informed decisions that enhance user experiences. You are skilled in building metrics and dimensions in data warehouses, ensuring that your insights are actionable and relevant to the business needs.
With a solid understanding of A/B testing methodologies, you know how to design, execute, and evaluate experiments effectively — you are aware of common pitfalls and can navigate the complexities of experimentation to derive meaningful conclusions. Your ability to identify pain points in user experiences allows you to work closely with product leadership to improve the overall journey for both guests and hosts.
You are proficient in SQL and have experience with data visualization tools — your analytical skills enable you to build scalable data tools that empower teams to answer data questions quickly and efficiently. You thrive in collaborative environments, working alongside Product Managers and Business leads to align on metrics and performance measures.
Desirable
Experience in the travel or hospitality industry would be a plus, as it gives you a unique perspective on user needs and behaviors. Familiarity with data pipeline prototyping and custom metrics development will further enhance your contributions to the team.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for driving day-to-day product analytics, providing insights that help shape the direction of Airbnb's offerings. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement A/B tests, ensuring that the metrics you define accurately measure product performance and user engagement.
Your typical day will involve building and refining metrics in the data warehouse, working closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and align on trade-offs. You will prototype metrics through custom data pipelines, ensuring that the data is accessible and actionable for the team.
You will empower your team to quickly answer data questions, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making within the organization. By identifying pain points in the travel and hosting experience, you will work with product leadership to propose and implement improvements that enhance user satisfaction.
