What you'll do

As a Backend Engineer on Airbnb's Storefronts team, you will be responsible for developing new APIs that power the interfaces of Airbnb's homepage and search pages. Your work will directly contribute to enhancing the guest experience by enabling users to efficiently navigate the platform and discover new offerings. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the features you develop are not only functional but also high-quality and performant.

You will also support the growth of new products on Airbnb's global platform, such as Airbnb Experiences and Services. Your contributions will help improve the overall quality of the team's products and increase development velocity. You will engage in code reviews, provide mentorship to junior engineers, and participate in architectural discussions to ensure the scalability and robustness of the systems you help build.
