Your strategic foresight allows you to proactively identify and assess risks across various products and user journeys, ensuring that the organization remains adaptable to emerging threats. You possess excellent operational skills, enabling you to implement effective governance and oversight mechanisms that balance user experience with risk mitigation. Your leadership abilities shine through as you collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, operations, data analytics, and compliance, to drive the evolution of fraud and safety defenses.

You are adept at establishing and managing risk frameworks, including defining guardrails and escalation actions that align with the organization's risk appetite. Your analytical skills enable you to enhance the organization's Risk Register, ensuring it remains relevant to new fraud and safety trends. You are experienced in developing risk assessment standards and key risk indicators (KRIs) that support data-driven prevention strategies. Your ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders ensures that everyone is aligned on risk management objectives.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for developing a comprehensive fraud and safety risk management strategy that safeguards users and supports trusted growth for Airbnb. You will establish and manage the Fraud and Safety Risk Appetite Framework, defining the necessary guardrails and escalation actions to mitigate risks effectively. Your work will involve aligning and enhancing the organization's Risk Register to adapt to new trends and ensure the effectiveness of defenses against fraud and safety issues.

You will support the design and implementation of data-driven prevention strategies that enhance user journeys while minimizing risks. Collaborating closely with product, operations, data analytics, and compliance teams, you will ensure that risk management practices are integrated into the organization's operations. Your role will also involve continuous monitoring and assessment of risks, allowing you to adapt strategies as necessary to address emerging threats.
