You have 2-8 years of experience in software engineering, particularly focused on backend systems and infrastructure. What you'll do
In this role, you will join Airtable's infrastructure team, focusing on improving the core systems that power the product. You will work on key projects such as building replication systems for zero downtime failovers and optimizing performance for Airtable's in-memory database. Your contributions will directly impact the developer experience and the scalability of the platform.
You will also be involved in managing the Kubernetes-based platform that supports various services, including new AI functionalities. This includes overhauling the network stack and service discovery to enhance security and simplify service setup. Your expertise will help in building custom Kubernetes operators to manage critical workloads reliably.
Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with other engineers to ensure that the infrastructure meets the evolving needs of the engineering organization. You will participate in code reviews, share knowledge, and mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
