Who you are

You are an experienced Quantitative Trader with a strong background in mathematics and statistics — you understand advanced concepts such as calculus, probability, linear algebra, and optimization. Your educational background includes a BS, MS, or PhD in a technical field such as Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics. You possess intermediate programming skills in Python, and familiarity with C++ is a plus. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are motivated to make an immediate impact in your role.

You have a deep understanding of derivatives theory and financial markets — you can analyze complex trading scenarios and generate innovative ideas for trading opportunities. Your analytical mindset allows you to convert ideas into tangible quantitative models that drive trading strategies. You enjoy challenges and are a creative thinker who is eager to implement trading signals that influence automated trading systems.

Desirable

Experience in options trading or a related field is highly desirable. You are familiar with statistical analysis, numerical linear algebra, and machine learning techniques. What you'll do

As a Quantitative Trader at Akuna, you will manage and improve trading strategies to enhance profitability — your role will involve designing and implementing low latency technologies and trading strategies. You will develop a deep understanding of the financial markets and derivatives theory, allowing you to generate innovative ideas for trading opportunities. You will be responsible for implementing trading signals that influence our automated trading systems, ensuring that your strategies are data-driven and effective.

You will collaborate closely with other traders and technical teams to refine and optimize trading models — your insights will help shape the direction of our trading strategies. You will also be involved in the continuous improvement of our trading systems, leveraging your technical skills to enhance performance and efficiency.
