Who you are
You are pursuing a master's or doctoral degree in mathematics, physics, statistics, computer science, engineering, or a related field from a well-known university. You have a solid understanding of financial markets and data, demonstrating innovative research capabilities and a personal insight into market dynamics. Your coding skills are robust, and you possess strong engineering implementation abilities along with a capacity for self-directed learning.
You are familiar with various data types and methodologies used in quantitative research, particularly in the context of equity strategies. Your analytical mindset allows you to evaluate factors and features effectively, ensuring they are applicable in different trading scenarios. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are eager to contribute to a team focused on developing high-performance trading strategies.
Desirable
Experience with quantitative analysis or algorithmic trading is a plus, as is familiarity with the A-share market. You are comfortable working with large datasets and have a keen interest in financial modeling and statistical analysis. Your ability to communicate complex ideas clearly will help you collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
What you'll do
As a Quantitative Researcher Intern at AlphaGrep, you will be responsible for creating factors and features on various frequencies in the A-share market. This includes utilizing volume-price data, fundamental data, and other derivative data to enhance trading strategies. You will conduct evaluations of these factors, analyzing their effectiveness in both intraday and interday contexts under different strategy scenarios.
You will work closely with experienced quantitative researchers and traders, gaining insights into the development of algorithmic trading strategies. Your role will involve data analysis, model testing, and the application of statistical techniques to improve trading performance. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing research efforts of the firm, helping to refine and innovate trading models.
