Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or physics with an emphasis in acoustics, and you bring over 5 years of experience in audio hardware design and validation. Your hands-on experience includes audio quality validation for products such as mobile phones, surveillance cameras, laptops, or smart speakers. You are skilled in audio circuitry validation and PCBA evaluation, and you thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams.
Your expertise in acoustic system design allows you to evaluate audio components and conduct acoustic simulations effectively. You understand the importance of sound quality tuning and validation, ensuring that products meet the highest standards. You are responsive and flexible, able to adapt to the fast-paced nature of hardware development.
What you'll do
As an Acoustic Engineer at Amazon, you will play a critical role in the global hardware development team for Ring. Your responsibilities will include evaluating audio components and conducting acoustic simulations, collaborating with industrial design and mechanical engineering teams during the architecture stage. You will validate and confirm the reliability of audio component designs, ensuring they meet product specifications.
You will be involved in sound quality tuning, validation, and verification for various products, including smart home devices and surveillance camera systems. Your role will also encompass the bring-up, validation, and testing of new audio platforms, as well as designing test matrices and defining criteria for internal manufacturing and contract manufacturers.
In addition, you will support manufacturing audio test validation and troubleshooting, conducting audio analysis to quantify sound quality. You will develop general-purpose audio modules and libraries for test utility integration, and evaluate, integrate, and validate new audio software algorithms.
