Job Description

Who you are

You have 3+ years of experience building machine learning models for business applications — you've developed and optimized models that drive real-world impact and understand the nuances of dataset design and model training. Your academic background includes a PhD in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field, or a Master's degree, providing you with a strong theoretical foundation in AI and machine learning principles.

You are passionate about advancing AI technologies and have a keen interest in the intersection of AI and practical applications — your experience includes working with reinforcement learning and large language models, enabling you to tackle complex problems in both virtual and physical environments. You thrive in collaborative settings and enjoy working with a diverse team of talented individuals who share your enthusiasm for innovation.

What you'll do

As a Member of Technical Staff, you will play a crucial role in the development of AI agents, contributing to applied research that combines large language models with reinforcement learning. Your responsibilities will include model training, dataset design, and pre- and post-training optimization, ensuring that the AI agents you help create are effective and efficient.

You will collaborate closely with other researchers and engineers in the lab, leveraging the resources and scale of Amazon to push the boundaries of what AI can achieve. Your work will directly impact the capabilities of AI agents, making them more useful and empowering for customers. You will have the autonomy to explore high-risk, high-payoff research avenues, contributing to the foundational capabilities of practical AI.

In addition to a competitive salary, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes equity options, medical coverage, and other perks designed to support your well-being and professional growth. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of AI research and development, working on projects that have the potential to redefine what is possible with AI agents.
