Who you are
You have a strong background in applied science, particularly in areas such as Machine Learning and Generative AI. Your experience includes applying statistical methods and economic principles to solve complex business problems, and you are comfortable working with interdisciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions. You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to partner effectively with business stakeholders to frame ambiguous problems as scientific challenges. You are passionate about using technology to enhance customer experiences and drive business impact.
Desirable
Experience with named entity recognition, pricing optimization, and large language models is a plus. You are familiar with the latest research trends in AI and are eager to apply them in a practical business context. A background in economics or a related field will help you understand the market dynamics that influence product assortment decisions.
What you'll do
In this role, you will collaborate with a diverse team of scientists, economists, and engineers to build scalable solutions for Amazon's private brands. You will be responsible for applying state-of-the-art research to real-world business problems, inventing novel solutions, and guiding the implementation of these solutions in production. Your work will directly influence product inputs such as title, price, and merchandising strategies. You will also mentor other scientists on the team, helping to elevate the overall quality of research and development within the organization.
What we offer
Amazon provides a competitive salary range of CAD 149,300.00 - 249,300.00 annually, along with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP), and paid time off.
