This position requires 5+ years of experience in digital verification and proficiency in System Verilog and UVM.
Job Description
Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in digital verification, particularly in image processing and SoC interfaces — your expertise allows you to evaluate block and sub-systems for testability and verifiability effectively. You possess strong skills in C/C++ and scripting languages like Python or TCL, which you have utilized to build bit-accurate models and comprehensive test plans.
Your deep knowledge of System Verilog and UVM is complemented by familiarity with formal verification techniques — you understand the intricacies of building assertions, traffic generators, and scoreboards. You have a solid background in lab debug and FPGA debug, which enhances your ability to execute test plans and perform rigorous debugging.
You hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, and a Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Engineering is preferred — your academic background supports your technical expertise in the field. You are a strong communicator, capable of articulating complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Desirable
Experience with low power communications and CMOS fabrication technology would be a plus — your innovative mindset aligns with the team's goal of delivering energy-efficient designs. You thrive in a vertically integrated team environment, where collaboration and customer-centric design are paramount.
What you'll do
As a Senior ASIC Verification Engineer, you will join the Ring/Blink ASIC Team at Amazon, where you will be responsible for delivering highly differentiated silicon for battery-powered devices. You will engage in early architectural and micro-architectural trade-offs to reduce time-to-revenue by shortening the design verification cycle. Your role will involve using and building bit-accurate C models to evaluate the testability of various blocks and subsystems.
You will write comprehensive block and system-level test plans, ensuring that all aspects of the design are thoroughly verified. Building assertions, traffic generators, and scoreboards in System Verilog and UVM will be a key part of your responsibilities, as will executing test plans and performing rigorous debugging to ensure the highest quality of silicon.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the designs meet customer requirements and expectations. Your contributions will directly impact the development of innovative products that customers love, making your role crucial in the product lifecycle.
What we offer
Amazon provides a dynamic work environment where innovation is encouraged and rewarded. You will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology that includes the latest advancements in AI and video processing. The company offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, financial, and other benefits, to support your well-being and career growth.
You will be part of a team that values collaboration and creativity, where your ideas can lead to significant advancements in product design and functionality. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement — your unique perspective could be the key to our next breakthrough.
